Run the daily revenue check (SOP for a virtual assistant)
Business → Pricing → Pricing Overview~15 min daily
Every morning, check that automatic pricing ran, that nothing is switched off by mistake, that every night priced under an owner's floor is labelled and within that home's limit, and that no recommendation is waiting for a person. You look, approve what is clearly fine, and pass everything else to the revenue manager. You never change an owner's floor.
Steps
9 steps- 1Open Business → Pricing → Pricing Overview. Read the numbers at the top: On autopilot and Waiting for you. Each row shows a home and its mode: Autopilot (prices change by themselves), Human review (nothing changes until a person approves), Watch only, or Not started. Click the Needs attention filter to see the homes that need you first.
- 2Open Business → Pricing → Autopilot Controls. For every home, check there is no red Kill switch badge and no Locked badge, and that the Mode is what your revenue manager set. Read any Action Required alerts at the top of the page. Do not press the mode buttons, Pause or Release Kill Switch. Those belong to the revenue manager.
- 3Open Business → Pricing → Control Tower. Read the four numbers, then Today's decisions: each line says what changed and why. Scroll to Change log — last 7 days to see what moved on each home. At the bottom, the line 'Engine last wrote …' should say it ran this morning. If it says it never ran, or ran yesterday, message the revenue manager now.
- 4Back on Pricing Overview, look for rows labelled 'Below owner floor'. The label shows the lowest price a guest could pay against the owner's floor, and how far under it is. This is allowed: a booked night under the floor beats an empty one, as long as it is shown. Click the small help icon next to it to read the reason. Then open Autopilot Controls for that home and read 'Never more than' under 'Allow pricing below the owner's floor'. If the home is further under than that figure, or the reason says below-floor pricing is switched off, message the revenue manager.
- 5Open Business → Pricing → Decisions and choose Pending Approval. These are recommendations for homes on Human review, plus changes a guardrail held back. Read each reason. Click Approve when it makes sense and the new price is not under the owner's floor. Click Reject when it clearly does not fit, for example a price cut on a weekend that is almost sold out. If you are not sure, leave it and ask the revenue manager. Recommendations expire after 72 hours.
- 6Open Business → Pricing → Vacant Homes. It lists every home with no booking in the next 14 nights, with its nightly rate next to the neighbourhood's median. Note the homes marked as priced above the suggested level, and the 'nights open' count on each row of Pricing Overview. Put them in your daily note. Do not cut prices yourself.
- 7Open Business → Pricing → Pricing Setup and open Home by home under Publish Rentology prices. Every home on Autopilot should read 'Published · … nights' or 'Published · nothing to change'. 'Last publish failed', 'Turn off PriceLabs sync first' or 'Emergency stop is on' goes to the revenue manager.
- 8Check the inbox for a Revenue Autopilot email. It only arrives when something is wrong, and it goes to the company's owners and admins. The subject reads 'Revenue autopilot: nothing pushed in the last 25h' or 'Revenue autopilot needs you: … problems today'. No email means the morning checks passed. If you are not on the owner or admin list, ask the revenue manager to forward it to you.
- 9Post a short note to the revenue manager in Team Hub: the date, any homes below the owner floor, what you approved or rejected, homes with open nights, and anything you escalated. Never change an owner's floor or a home's below-floor limit yourself.

If something's off
- If a price for one night looks wrong — open Business → Pricing → Revenue Lab, pick the home at the top right, and click the night. Under 'Your price for this night', type the price and click Save. A price set by hand wins over the pricing engine; only the owner's maximum still applies. Click Remove to hand the night back. Then tell the revenue manager in Team Hub what you changed and why.
- If a price looks too high — the engine never prices a night more than 15% above the upper range of comparable homes nearby, except on event nights. If it still looks too high, set that night by hand as above and tell the revenue manager.
- If a home says 'Turn off PriceLabs sync first' — PriceLabs is still sending prices to that home, so Rentology will not publish there until PriceLabs stops. Message the revenue manager. The sync for that listing is switched off inside PriceLabs itself.
- If an owner asks why their price dropped — open Business → Pricing → Owner View and pick the home to see what the owner sees. In their own portal, the Performance tab lists every change from the last 30 days with the reason, under 'What … did to improve bookings'. Pass the question to the revenue manager if the reason does not answer it.
- If a home shows the Kill switch badge or 'Emergency stop is on' — all automatic pricing on that home is stopped. Someone turned it on for a reason, so do not release it. Ask the revenue manager when it should come off. If prices on a home are plainly broken and you cannot reach anyone, press Kill Switch on that home in Autopilot Controls, then message the revenue manager.
- If the email says nothing was pushed — open Decisions and check the Applied tab for today, then Pending Approval. Open Pricing Setup → Home by home and note which homes did not publish. Send that list to the revenue manager the same morning.
- If a night is further below the owner floor than the home allows — do not change the floor or the limit. Send the home, the night and the price shown to the revenue manager in Team Hub.
- If you cannot see Pricing in the menu — your account has no access to the pricing pages yet. Ask an admin of your company to give you access.
