Generate a property's digital guidebook and its QR code sheet
Growth → Leads & Pipelines → Go Live tab~10 min
One button writes the guest guidebook for you — restaurants, day trips, appliance guides — publishes it at its own web address, and produces a printable sheet with three QR codes: Wi-Fi, guidebook, and book direct. You never write the guidebook by hand and you never make the QR codes in another tool.
Steps
7 steps- 1Check first — the guidebook may already exist. Every property's guidebook lives at the same web address shape: your workspace address followed by /g/ and the property's slug (for example /g/magnolia-at-willivee). If that page loads, the guidebook is done — skip to the QR sheet step.
- 2Open Growth → Leads & Pipelines, switch to the Go Live tab, and open the property.
- 3Find the Generate guidebook & QR code sheet step and press Open automation.
- 4Fill in the Wi-Fi network name and password, and confirm the direct booking link. Do this before the sheet — the Wi-Fi QR encodes the network, so a sheet printed without it has one dead code out of three.
- 5Press Open Digital Guidebook. This saves the Wi-Fi, publishes the guest page, and writes the AI content — nearby restaurants, day plans, appliance guides — in the background. It takes about a minute; the page is live the moment it finishes.
- 6Press Download QR Code Sheet. The PDF is generated and saved to the property automatically, so anyone on the team can reprint it later without rebuilding anything.
- 7Print the sheet and put it in the magnetic holder on the fridge during the setup visit. Confirm each of the three codes with your phone camera before you leave.
If something's off
- If you are wondering whether to write the guidebook yourself in a chatbot, or make the QR code in another marketing tool — don't — both are built in. The AI writes the guidebook content and the sheet generates its own QR codes. A hand-built page has no live Wi-Fi, no booking widget and no address the system can reprint from.
- If the guidebook page loads but the Wi-Fi section is empty — the Wi-Fi name and password were never captured. Add them in the automation and download the sheet again. The printed codes still work — a QR code freezes the web address, not the page behind it — so an already-printed sheet starts working as soon as you save.
- If the Book Direct code goes to a page with no way to book — the booking page is published but its availability widget isn't connected yet. Finish the booking-calendar step; the same printed code starts working, no reprint needed.
- If the Download QR Code Sheet button says the sheet cannot be created yet — open the checklist it shows — it names exactly what is missing (guidebook, Wi-Fi name, Wi-Fi password, or direct-booking link) and links to the screen that completes each one.
- If you want to change wording, hide a section, or fix the parking and check-in details — edit the guidebook after it exists — the booking site's Settings dialog has a Guidebook tab. Regenerating is not needed for edits.
- If the property has no brand name yet — set the brand name first — the guidebook's web address and the sheet's heading are both built from it, so generating without one produces a link you will have to replace.
- If the automation step or its button is missing entirely — that is a fault worth reporting, not a reason to build the guidebook elsewhere. Report it from the app and use the property's own Print QR Sheet button in the property panel header in the meantime.
